Conference Committee Inaction Language

Representatives Jones of North Reading, Hill of Ipswich, Poirier of North Attleborough, Gifford of Wareham, Frost of Auburn and Smola of Warren move to amend the order by striking in proposed Rule 11, in lines  463 through 467, inclusive, the following, “; provided, however, that inaction of either branch in taking action on concurring in the appointment of committee of conference of the other branch shall result in the branch refusing to take action forfeiting its previous vote and concurring in the action of the other branch; and the measure shall be endorsed accordingly and forwarded to the Engrossing Division to be prepared for final passage”.
