Amendment #1 to H3594

To require annual reporting to the Legislature of statistics of families on TAFDC

Miss Garry of Dracut moves to amend the bill by adding the following section:

"SECTION 9. The Department of Transitional Assistance shall determine and report annually to the Legislature by December 31st of each year the following information: a.) Numbers of families on TAFDC; b.) Locations by zip code of all families on TAFDC; c.) Length of time of families on TAFDC by categories of years (0 -12 months) (12 months -2 years)( 2 years to 4 years) 4 years to 6 years) (6 years to 8 years) (8 years to 10 years) (more than 10 years); d.) Numbers of children by family on TAFDC; e.) Age of parents when first on TAFDC; f.)  Age of children on TAFDC;  g.) Percentage of families participating in 20 hour work or education requirement;  h.) Percentage of families participating in 30 hour work or education requirement; i.) Percentage of families not participating in any work or education requirement; j.)  Number of families on TAFDC involved in DCF; k.)  Number of mothers on TAFDC; l.) Number of fathers on TAFDC; m.) Numbers of cases of child support being pursued by DOR to compensate Commonwealth for TAFDC benefits
