Technical Amendment

Mr. Hinds moves to amend the bill in section 2, by inserting after the word “terminated”, in line 12, the following words:- “; provided, however, that notwithstanding section 1, the incumbent appointed town treasurer shall be the first appointee to the new combined position of treasurer-collector and shall hold the office and perform the duties thereof until the expiration of the term for which the town treasurer was appointed, unless the incumbent sooner vacates that office. Thereafter, appointments to the position of treasurer-collector shall be made pursuant to section 1”.
