Municipal OSHA Compliance Training

Representatives Brodeur of Melrose, Barber of Somerville, Hay of Fitchburg, Keefe of Worcester, McKenna of Webster, O'Day of West Boylston, Robertson of Tewksbury, Rogers of Norwood, Santiago of Boston, Ultrino of Malden and Whipps of Athol move to amend the bill in section 2, in item 7003-0200 by adding the following: “and further, that not less than $300,000 of which shall be expended by the Department for a competitive grant program administered by the Department for the purpose of providing municipalities grants to facilitate compliance with Chapter 149 §6 ½ as amended by Chapter 44 of the Acts of 2018. The Department shall also allocate not less than 25% of fees collected from municipalities found to be out of compliance with Chapter 149 §6 ½ as amended by Chapter 44 of the Acts of 2018 on a quarterly basis to the competitive grant program. The grant program shall be known as the John James Doherty Safety Fund";

 

And in said item by striking out the figures “$3,376,833” and inserting in place thereof the following figures “$3, 676,833.”
