Amendment #1086 to H3800

Supporting the UMass Boston Centers and Institutes

Representatives Chan of Quincy, Biele of Boston, Mom of Lowell, Nguyen of Andover, Robinson of Framingham, Schmid of Westport and Wong of Saugus move to amend the bill in section 2, in item 7100-0200, in line 9, by inserting after “maintenance;” the following:

"provided further, that not less than $5,000,000 shall be expended for the funding of the University of Massachusetts Boston Centers and Institutes, including the Center for Social Policy, the Institute for New England Native American Studies, Center for Rebuilding Sustainable Communities after Disasters, the Labor Resource Center, the Center for Survey Research, the Center for Collaborative Leadership, the Institute for Asian American Studies, the Center for Women in Politics, the China Program Center, the Massachusetts Office of Public Collaboration, the Center for Gender Security and Human Rights, the Mauricio Gaston Institute for Latino Community Development and Public Policy, the Collins Center for Public Management, the Urban Harbors Institute, the William Monroe Trotter Institute, the William Joiner Institute for the Study of War and Social Consequences, and the Gerontology Institute."
