Civil Asset Forfeiture Commission Membership

Mr. Cabral of New Bedford moves to amend the bill in section 54, (a) in line 847, by striking out the following “19 members” and inserting in place thereof the following “21 members”; and (b) in lines 853-54, by striking out the words “the president of the Massachusetts Sheriffs Association, Inc. or a designee” and inserting in place thereof the words “a representative from the American Civil Liberties Union of Massachusetts; a representative from the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People - New England Area Conference; a representative from the Greater Boston Legal Services”.
