Fair and Authentic Assessment of Student Learning and School Quality

Representatives Hawkins of Attleboro and Provost of Somerville moves to amend the bill in section 2 by inserting after item 7061-9400 the following

item:

"7061-9401 For the center for collaborative education; provided, that the center shall manage an alternative assessment pilot program that shall be administered under contract with the Massachusetts Consortium for Innovative Education Assessment; and provided further, that the consortium shall develop and pilot a comprehensive system for assessing student and school performance over a period of 3 years and issue an annual report and a final report that includes recommendations to the commissioner of elementary and secondary education and to members of the joint committee on education................................... $550,000”
