Amendment #521 to H3800
Nonprofit Security
Ms. Balser of Newton moves to amend the bill in Section 2, in line item 8000-0600, by adding the following: “; provided further, that not less than $500,000 shall be expended for a non-profit security grant pilot program for non-profit organizations that are at high risk of terrorist attack and are ineligible for the United States Department of Homeland Security’s Nonprofit Security Grant Program based on their location; provided further, that: (a) not less than 1 such grant shall be awarded to a non-profit organization in the eastern region of the state; (b) not less than 1 such grant shall be awarded to a non-profit organization in the central region of the state; and (c) not less than 1 such grant shall be awarded to the western region of the state.”
and in said item, by striking out the figures “3,389,795” and inserting in place thereof the figures: “3,889,795.”
