Amendment #553 to H3800

DCR Route 16 Corridor Study

Representatives Barber of Somerville, Garballey of Arlington, Rogers of Cambridge, Hecht of Watertown and Connolly of Cambridge move to amend the bill in section 2, in line item 2810-0100, by adding the following:  And provided further that no less than $250,000 shall be expended for a corridor study, in consultation with MassDOT, of Route 16 (Alewife Brook and Mystic Valley Parkway) from the intersection of Route 2 and Route 16 in Cambridge, to the intersection of Route 16 and Main Street in Medford, to examine current traffic flows and improvements that would enhance roadway safety, efficiency, and multimodal access;  and in said item by striking out the figures “$44,736,288” and inserting in place thereof the figures “$44,986,288”.
