Amendment #626 to H3800

Early College and Career Pathways Authorization

Mrs. Ferguson of Holden moves to amend the bill in section 3, in line 16, by inserting after “below” the following: “; provided further that, in fiscal year 2020, students enrolled in approved early college and career pathway programs, so designated by the department of elementary and secondary education, shall be included as a separate enrollment category for purposes of calculating district foundation budgets. The rate for the early college and career pathway category shall be set at an amount $1,050 above the high school rate and the department shall distribute the total rate across the functional categories in a manner consistent with the categorical distribution in section 3 of House bill 1”.
