Amendment #752 to H3800

DOC Reentry Services/Higher Education Programming

Representatives Khan of Newton, Barber of Somerville, Connolly of Cambridge, Crocker of Barnstable, Domb of Amherst, Gouveia of Acton, Keefe of Worcester, Lewis of Framingham and Robinson of Framingham move to amend the bill in section 2, in item 8900-1100, in line 8, by inserting after the word “programs” the following: “; and provided further, that not less than $80,000 shall be expended for the department of correction to cover costs associated with coordinating and supporting partnerships with higher education institutions that provide post-secondary education programs in state prisons”; and in said item by striking out the figures "$800,000" and inserting in place thereof the figures "$880,000".
