Perinatal Mental Health Awareness

Representatives O'Day of West Boylston, Jones of North Reading, Haddad of Somerset, Provost of Somerville, Khan of Newton, Hecht of Watertown, Garballey of Arlington, Domb of Amherst, Blais of Sunderland, Santiago of Boston, Keefe of Worcester, Whipps of Athol, Fiola of Fall River, Honan of Boston and Vega of Holyoke move to amend the bill, in section 2, by inserting after line item 4590-0925 the following line item:- 4590-XXXX  "; For the costs of a two-pronged perinatal mental health awareness and education campaign to i) provide resources with the goal of increasing engagement and empowerment for marginalized new mothers and fathers and ii) provide unexamined bias training and capacity building to medical providers and allied health care professionals; provided that funds shall be expended to conduct participatory action research prior to carrying out said campaign ....$400,000"
