Amendment #791 to H3800

Northeast Metropolitan Regional Vocational School District

Representatives Jones of North Reading, Haggerty of Woburn, Wong of Saugus, Ultrino of Malden and Brodeur of Melrose move to amend the bill by adding the following section:- “SECTION XX.  Notwithstanding section 10 of Chapter 70B of the General Laws or any general or special law to the contrary, in determining the grant percentage for approved school projects for calendar year 2019 and calendar year 2020, the Massachusetts School Board Authority shall calculate the community poverty factor by examining the proportion of economically disadvantaged students from calendar year 2014 to the present and assigning whichever year’s factor is highest as determined by the department of elementary and secondary education.

Any applicable sunset provision shall not end until December 31, 2020.”
