Amendment #806 to H3800

Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame

Representatives Ashe of Longmeadow, Petrolati of Ludlow, Puppolo of Springfield, Williams of Springfield, Tosado of Springfield, Vega of Holyoke, Velis of Westfield, González of Springfield, Pignatelli of Lee, Mark of Peru, Barrett of North Adams and Finn of West Springfield move to amend the bill in section 2, in item 7008-0900, by adding at the end thereof the following "and provided further that not less than $150,000 shall be expended for "Hoop Hall Assists - WE CARE The Game Giving Back to the Community" to provide literacy, financial, character-building, anti-bullying and community outreach diversity programs, for youth and adults in the Cities of Springfield and Holyoke.  This program is with Western Mass programs and a dual enrollment program with Greenfield Community College and Holyoke Community College", and in said item by striking out the figures "$163,176" and inserting in place thereof the figures "$313,176".
