Amendment #875 to H3800

Jumpstart for Young Children

Representatives O'Day of West Boylston, McMurtry of Dedham, Nguyen of Andover, Ashe of Longmeadow, Hecht of Watertown, Keefe of Worcester, Lewis of Framingham, Capano of Lynn and Garballey of Arlington move to amend the bill in section 2 in item 3000-1000, by inserting at the end thereof the following "; provided further, that not less than $500,000 shall be expended to Jumpstart for Young Children, Inc. to provide support to evidence-based early childhood education programs that promote language, literacy, and social emotional skill development for preschool children from under-served communities in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts" and in said item by striking the figures "$6,172,055" and inserting in place thereof the figures "$6,672,055"
