Amendment #999 to H3800

UMass Dartmouth America Reads/Counts Program

Representatives Schmid of Westport, Sabadosa of Northampton, Fiola of Fall River, Straus of Mattapoisett, Haddad of Somerset, Hendricks of New Bedford, Markey of Dartmouth and Cabral of New Bedford move to amend the bill in section 2, in item 7003-1206, by adding the following: “; provided further, that not less than $80,000 shall be expended to the Leduc Center at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth for transportation costs related to the America Reads/Counts program” and in said item by striking out the figures “1,400,000” and inserting in place thereof the figures “1,480,000”.
