Prohibiting non-consensual contact with public employees
Mr. Dooley of Norfolk moves to amend the bill by adding the following section:-
“SECTION XX. No personal information of any public employee, including such employee’s home address, personal email address, home telephone number or personal mobile telephone number, may be provided by the Commonwealth to any non-governmental organization without that employee’s prior written consent. For purposes of this section, non-governmental organizations shall include political organizations and employee organizations.
The consent to disclosure of personal information referenced in the preceding paragraph may be revoked at any time by the public employee. Following such revocation, further contact by means of the personal information referenced in this section with the employee who has withdrawn consent shall be deemed non-consensual. No non-governmental organization shall engage in non-consensual contact any public employee following such revocation of consent.”
