Autism Provider Certification

Mr. O'Day of West Boylston moves to amend the amendment by inserting after SECTION XX the following new section:-  “SECTION XX.  Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, not later than January 31, 2020, the department of public health shall establish a uniform rolling process for the certification of specialty service providers for autism that are authorized to provide, and are eligible for reimbursement for, early intensive behavioral intervention services to children who have been diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder and who are currently served by the early intervention program established under chapter 111G of the General Laws; provided, however, that the department of public health shall either approve or deny such an application for certification no later than 60 days following receipt of an application for certification.”
