Behavioral Health Innovative Partnerships

Mr. O'Day of West Boylston moves to amend the amendment by inserting after SECTION XX the following new section:- “SECTION XX.  Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, the executive office of education, in consultation with the department of elementary and secondary education, shall establish a pilot program for innovative partnerships between one or more school districts and one or more behavioral health service providers specializing in serving the needs of persons with developmental and learning disabilities for the management and coordination of special education budgets to maximize the provision of high quality education and behavioral health services. Not later than two years following implementation of the pilot program, the executive office of education, in consultation with the department of elementary and secondary education, shall submit a report to the joint committee on education on the results of the pilot program.”
