Amendment #13 to H4367

Promoting academic and workforce opportunities within the cannabis industry.

Ms. Tyler of Boston moves to amend the bill by inserting after Section 3 the following section:

“Section 4. Chapter 94G of the General Laws is hereby amended by inserting after Section 21 the following section:

Section 22. Cannabis Education Programs

Massachusetts Community Colleges, in collaboration with local business and industry, nonprofits, social equity partners, and state and federal agencies, shall establish a cannabis education program. This program shall support individuals from communities disproportionately impacted by the war on drugs as defined the Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission.  This program shall offer a continuum of services, including but not limited to, education, job skills training, internships, and record expungement, with the goal of sustainable employment. This program shall be supported with public and private funds, which shall be deposited in an expendable trust to be established on behalf of the Massachusetts Community Colleges.”
