Haverhill Rail Line Early Action Capacity Program

Representatives Vargas of Haverhill, Moran of Lawrence, Campbell of Methuen, Minicucci of North Andover, Mirra of West Newbury and Nguyen of Andover move to amend the bill in section 2, by inserting after item 6622-2183, in line 177, the following item:

6622-xxxxFor improvements to the Haverhill line commuter rail; provided, that not less than $50,000,000 shall be expended for the construction of a double-track railway at Ballardvale station in the town of Andover; provided further, that not less than $15,000,000 shall be expended for level boarding at the Senator Patricia McGovern Transportation Center in the city of Lawrence; provided further, that not less than $5,000,000 shall be expended for level boarding at Andover station in the town of Andover; provided further, that not less than $5,000,000 shall be expended for level boarding at Ballardvale station in the town of Andover; provided further, that not less than $20,000,000 shall be expended for level boarding at Haverhill station in the city of Haverhill; and provided further, that not less than $5,000,000 shall be expended for additional train service on the Haverhill commuter rail……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………. $100,000,000
