Amendment #301 to H4506

Improvements to Route 3A, Route 40, and Vinal Square in the Town of Chelmsford

Representatives Golden of Lowell, Nangle of Lowell and Arciero of Westford move to amend the bill in section 2A, in item 6121-2117, in line 49, by inserting after the word "projects" the following:

“; provided further, that not less than $3,000,000 shall be expended for the purpose of overall betterments in the town of Chelmsford along the corridors of Route 3A and Route 40 and surrounding areas, including their intersection at Vinal Square, to facilitate economic development, promote public safety, enhance walkability, improve accessibility, and leverage public and private partnerships; betterments shall include but not be limited to roadways, walkways, sidewalks, curbscapes, traffic lights, crosswalks, and parking; and in said item by striking out the figures “$1,750,000,000” and inserting in place thereof the figures “$1,753,000,000”
