Roadway Commission To Plan For Transportation Finance Implication of Net-Zero Emissions Goal

Mrs. Ciccolo of Lexington moves to amend the bill in section 25, in line 650, by inserting after the word "commonwealth." the following words "The Commission shall, consistent with the goal of achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, develop a comprehensive long-term plan to raise revenue for statewide transportation needs in a manner not associated with the vehicular use of fossil fuels. Said plan shall be filed with the governor and the house and senate committees on ways and means and transportation on or before December 31, 2021.".
