Encouraging the Roadway Pricing Commission to Follow its own Recommendations

Mrs. Ciccolo of Lexington moves to amend the bill by inserting after section 30 the following section:

"SECTION 31. Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, based on either the recommendations of the special commission on roadway and congestion pricing, if new tolls and other roadway pricing mechanisms are not implemented by December 1, 2022 within the geographic district defined in this act as the Boston metropolitan area, the department of transportation shall not commit or spend any revenues received from tolls, rates, fees, rentals, and other charges from toll collection locations and rates currently in place as of January 1, 2020, until such time as the department achieves new pricing revenue service in the locations considered by the special commission on roadway and congestion pricing.
