Amendment #1 to H4841

Medical Examiner Protocol for Child Fatalities

Ms. Decker of Cambridge moves to amend the bill by adding the following section:

"SECTION XX: Chapter 38 of the General Laws, as appearing in the 2018 Official Edition, is hereby amended by inserting after section 4A the following section:-

Section 4B. In the case of a death of a child under the age of two, the findings and report of the medical examiner performing the autopsy to determine the cause of death, and any change to the autopsy report, shall be subject to review and approval by the chief medical examiner."
