Amendment #14 to H4841

Temporary WIC Card

Mr. Kearney of Scituate moves to amend the bill by adding the following section:

"SECTION XXXX. The department shall provide temporary women, infants, and children (“WIC”) card at the time it places a child with a foster family. This card may be used for two weeks or until such a time foster family attends an appointment for a permanent WIC card, whichever is shorter. In the occasion that a child is removed from the foster family before attending an appointment for a permanent WIC card, the temporary card will expire when the child is removed".
