Child fatality review teams and SIDS

Mr. Hecht of Watertown moves to amend the bill in section 14, after line 358, by inserting the following paragraph:

“(h) The state and local multidisciplinary child fatality review teams shall develop printed materials containing information on support, referral, and follow-up services relating to sudden infant death syndrome, including, but not limited to, those offered by the Massachusetts center for sudden infant death syndrome located at Boston Medical Center. The teams shall develop a policy for the distribution of said written materials to the parent or guardians of a suddenly deceased infant as close to the time of the incident as possible.”
