Relative to grandfathering in officers

Mr. Tucker of Salem moves to amend the bill, as amended, In section 4, on line 484, by adding the following subsection:- “(3) No officer who is considered certified as of the adoption of this bill shall be required to complete or repeat a basic training program providing that such officer has previously completed a basic training program provide or approved by the MPTC or its predecessor criminal justice training council or attended training that the commission deems equivalent to Massachusetts training standards or any comparable training program”
