Notice and detail of alleged violation before division of police standards

Miss Garry of Dracut moves to amend the bill, as amended, in Section 8,  in subsection (c) (3) by striking the following

"The division of police standards shall notify any law enforcement officer who is the subject of the preliminary inquiry and the head of their appointing agency of the existence of such inquiry and the general nature of the alleged violation within 30 days of the commencement of the inquiry." and inserting in place thereof the following; "The division of police standards shall notify any law enforcement officer who is the subject of the preliminary inquiry and the head of their appointing agency of the existence of such inquiry and the details of the alleged violation within 7 days of the commencement of the inquiry."
