Allocation of Funding

Mr. Howitt of Seekonk moves to amend the bill in Section 2, in item 6040-0303, in line 183, by inserting after the word “museums” the following words:- “provided further, that funds expended from this item shall be expended in an equal manner among the fourteen counties in Massachusetts; provided further, that funds distributed from this item shall not be granted to organizations with an endowment of not more than $1,000,000; provided further, that funds distributed from this item shall not be granted to organizations currently under active contract with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.”

and moves to amend the bill in said section, in item 0640-0304, in line 197, by inserting after the word “experience” the following words:- “provided further, that funds expended from this item shall be expended in an equal manner among the fourteen counties in Massachusetts; provided further, that funds distributed from this item shall not be granted to organizations with an endowment of not more than $1,000,000; provided further, that funds distributed from this item shall not be granted to organizations currently under active contract with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.”
