Zoning Change Threshold

Mr. Vitolo of Brookline moves to amend the bill in Section 18 in line 1006 by striking the words- “a simple majority” and inserting in place there of the following:- “sixty percent”; and

Moves to further amend the bill in said Section 18 in line 1008 by striking the words- “a simple majority” and inserting in place there of the following:- “sixty percent”; and

Moves to further amend the bill in said section 18 in line 1010 by inserting after the word “allow” the following:- “or prohibit”; and

Moves to further amend the bill in said section 18 in line 1014 by inserting after the word “allow” the following:- “or prohibit”; and

Moves to further amend the bill in said section 18 in line 1020 by inserting after the words “provide for” the following:- “, alter, or eliminate”; and

Moves to further amend the bill in said section 18 in lines 1026 through 1027 by striking the words “to allow for additional housing units beyond what would otherwise be permitted under the existing zoning ordinance or by-law”; and

Moves to further amend the bill in said section 18 in line 1028 by inserting after the word “adoption” the following:- “, alteration, or elimination”; and

Moves to further amend the bill in said Section 18 in line 1029 by striking the words- “a simple majority” and inserting in place there of the following:- “sixty percent”; and

Moves to further amend the bill in Section 23 in lines 1059-1060 by striking the words- “a simple majority” and inserting in place there of the following:- “sixty percent”.
