Amendment #412 to H4879

Category 2 License

Mr. Cassidy of Brockton moves to amend the bill by striking out, in section 7, the definition of “Category 2 license” and inserting in place thereof the following:-

"Category 2 license", a license issued by the commission that permits the operation of sports wagering in person or through a mobile application and other digital platforms approved by the commission at a race track or simulcast wagering facility that was licensed under chapter 128A or 128C during calendar year 2019."

in said section 7, by striking out, in lines 478 through 480, the following words “ any holder of a license to conduct a racing meeting, as defined in section 1 of chapter 128A, that meets the following that meets the requirements of this chapter and the rules and regulations of the commission” and inserting in place thereof the following:-

those licensees located in Raynham and Boston that were previously licensed pursuant to chapter 128A or chapter 128C during calendar year 2019, and such category 2 licenses shall include as a license condition that the licensees meet the requirements of this chapter and the rules and regulations of the commission."
