Amendment #27 to H5102

State Spending Accountability

Mr. Cabral of New Bedford moves to amend the bill by adding the following section:

SECTION X. (a) the Department of Correction shall file a report with the clerks of the senate and the house of representatives and with the senate and house committees on ways and means on the cost, revenue, and reimbursement associated with any (i) agreement made pursuant to 8 U.S.C. § 1357(g); and (ii) intergovernmental service agreement for housing federal detainees; and the performance of the functions thereof, for fiscal year 2018, fiscal year 2019, fiscal year 2020, and shall submit said report for fiscal year 2021 on a quarterly basis to begin on July 3, 2021, due not later than 30 days after the last day of the quarter;

(b) the sheriffs, special sheriffs, and deputy sheriffs, subject to chapter 37, shall file a report with the clerks of the senate and the house of representatives and with the senate and house committees on ways and means on the cost, revenue, and reimbursement associated with any (i) agreement made pursuant to 8 U.S.C. § 1357(g); and (ii) intergovernmental service agreement for housing federal detainees; and the performance of the functions thereof, for fiscal year 2018, fiscal year 2019, fiscal year 2020, and shall submit said report for fiscal year 2021 on a quarterly basis to begin on July 3, 2021, due not later than 30 days after the last day of the quarter.
