Amendment #354 to H5150

Louis D Brown Peace Institute

Mr. Hunt of Boston moves that the bill be amended in Section 2, item 4513-1098 by striking the item in its entirety and inserting in place thereof the following:-

"4513-1098 For the provision of statewide support services for survivors of homicide victims, including outreach services, burial assistance, grief counseling and other support services; provided, that funds shall be expended as grants in the aggregate amount of not less than $350,000 to the Louis D. Brown Peace Institute Corporation, a community-based support organization dedicated to serving families and communities impacted by violence; and provided further, that the Louis D. Brown Peace Institute Corporation shall establish and administer a process to distribute a total of $150,000 to the Massachusetts survivors of homicide victims network organizations throughout the Commonwealth in the form of grants.............$350,000"
