Amendment #476 to H5150

Behavioral Health Reimbursement Rates

Mr. Cassidy of Brockton moves to amend the bill in section 2, in item 4000-0500, by adding the following: 

“provided further, the division shall ensure that its contracted health insurers, health plans, health maintenance organizations, behavioral health management firms and third-party administrators under contract to a Medicaid managed care organization or primary care clinician plan shall reimburse all contracted inpatient psychiatric and substance abuse hospitals not less than the MassHealth contracted per diem rate for inpatient psychiatric and substance abuse care”.
