Amendment #513 to H5150

Home Inspectors

Mr. Chan of Quincy moves to amend the bill by adding the following section:

"SECTION XXXX. Chapter 112 of the General Laws, as so appearing, is hereby amended by inserting after section 224, the following new section:-

Section 224A. By written agreement, any home inspector, associate home inspector, or trainee home inspector licensed or in training pursuant to this chapter, affiliated with and performing inspections for a home inspector or a home inspection company as an independent contractor and paid on a commission only basis, shall not be considered an employee of such home inspector or home inspection company pursuant to section 148B of chapter 149 or any other statute."
