Stop the Bleed

Mr. Dooley of Norfolk moves to amend the bill in section 2, by inserting after item 4000-1700, the following new item:-

“4000-XXXX For the creation of a pilot program to provide bleeding control kits as part of the national "Stop the Bleed" program.  Said program will be regulated through a grant program available to elementary and secondary schools within the commonwealth and shall be administered by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE).  This program will be created in conjunction with Massachusetts Department of Public Health who will coordinate the training and other program requirements.  The pilot will provide to schools that participate - 3 bleeding control kits per AED in the school……….. $1,000,000”
