Amendment #71 to H5150

Early Intervention

Representatives Kafka of Stoughton and McMurtry of Dedham move to amend the bill in section 2, in line item 4513-1020, by inserting, in line 41, after the word "2022" the following:

 

"provided further, that not less than $9,000,000 shall be expended to provide cost reimbursement payments necessary to promote the sustainability of early intervention programs and support access to critical early intervention services during the 2019 novel coronavirus; provided further, the department of public health shall issue cost reimbursement payment vouchers to all early intervention vendors certified by the department of public health as Part C early intervention providers as of July 1, 2020, and that said payment shall be made on a proportional basis, calculated using the October 1, 2019 Early Intervention Child Count of the department of public health; said payment shall be distributed to Part C early intervention vendors within 30 days from the passage of this act" ; and in said item by striking the figures "$31,259,772" and inserting in place thereof the figures "$40,259,772"
