Amendment #721 to H5150

Early Education and Care Support Fund

Ms. Barber of Somerville moves to amend the bill in section 2 by adding the following new line item:

"3000-xxxx For grants to support early education and care programs in the Commonwealth and ensure continued access to programming for children and families; provided further, grants shall be flexible in order to address the needs of childcare providers as determined by the commissioner; provided further, any licensed early education and care program shall be eligible to apply for funding; provided further, grants shall be awarded on the basis of those programs most in need, and ensure regional and statewide coverage of early education and care programming …….2,000,000"
