Amendment #90 to H5150

Survivor Journeys

Mr. Ashe of Longmeadow moves to amend the bill in Section 2, in item 4513-1111, by adding at the end thereof the following:

“and provided further that not less than $100,000 be expended for the building of a Cancer Survivorship Resource Center for Survivor Journeys, a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization in Springfield, which will provide survivorship, caregiving and family resources that are unavailable elsewhere in the region; including research information about cancer, treatment, side effects, available services and network with similar people and organizations.  The funds will also support the Cancer Survivorship 101, an educational event to be held in Springfield where national speakers present topics essential to cancer survivors, their families and caregivers", and in said item by striking out the figures "$3,657,520" and inserting in place thereof the figures "$3,757,520".
