Floor Amendment

Mr. Speliotis of Danvers moves to amend the bill in section 1, in lines 28 and 29, by striking out the following: “at least one hundred seventy (170) days” and inserting in place thereof the words “within a reasonable period of time determined by the town clerk”;

and in line 55 by striking out the words “on the date of the next town election” and inserting in place thereof the following: “within a reasonable period of time, but no earlier than 45 days from the town clerk’s certification of the petition”.
