Ensuring that Funds Appropriated are in Addition to and Not In Lieu of Funds Already Appropriated for Such Purposes

Representatives Jones of North Reading, Hill of Ipswich, Poirier of North Attleborough, Gifford of Wareham, Frost of Auburn, Smola of Warren and Senator Tarr move to amend the proposal for constitutional amendment by inserting after the word “purposes” in line 7, the following – “; provided however that any funds appropriated shall be in addition to and not in lieu of funds appropriated for such purposes in the fiscal year most recently completed prior to the enactment of this amendment.”
