Amendment to the Constitutional Amendment

Representatives Sullivan of Abington, Muratore of Plymouth, O'Connell of Taunton and Soter of Bellingham move to amend the proposal for constitutional amendment by adding at the end thereof, “In addition to the taxes on income otherwise authorized under this Article, in any taxable year in which an additional tax is assessed based on income, there shall be an additional tax of 4 percent on that portion of annual taxable legislative income earned by a member of the Massachusetts House of Representatives or Massachusetts State Senate”.
