Clean Peak Standard

Messrs. Keenan, Timilty and O'Connor and Ms. Gobi move that the proposed new draft be amended by adding the following new section:-

SECTION X. Section 17 of chapter 25A of the General Laws, is hereby amended by adding at the end of section 17(d) the following:-

(e)  Notwithstanding any general or special law to the contrary, resources located or interconnected within the service territory of a municipal lighting plant shall be eligible to qualify under the department’s regulations as clean peak resources. Such resources shall be eligible to generate clean peak certificates in a manner equivalent to clean peak resources located elsewhere within the Commonwealth.
