Advancing economy-wide carbon pricing

Mr. Lewis, Ms. Jehlen, Messrs. Eldridge, Collins and Pacheco, Ms. Chang-Diaz, Ms. Comerford and Ms. Rausch move that the proposed new draft be amended by striking out sections 55 and 56, and inserting in place thereof the following:-

“SECTION 55. The regulations required pursuant to clause (ii) of subsection (a) of section 7 of chapter 21N of the General Laws shall be promulgated and in effect not later than January 1, 2024.

SECTION 56. The regulations required pursuant to clause (iii) of subsection (a) of section 7 of chapter 21N of the General Laws shall be promulgated and in effect not later than January 1,​ 2026.​”
