Crisis Standards of Care

Ms. Chang-Diaz moves to amend the bill by inserting after SECTION 4 the following section: SECTION 5. The Department of Public Health shall consult with the Massachusetts affiliates of the National Medical Association and the Hispanic Medical Association, the NAACP New England Area Council, the Disability Law Center, and the Massachusetts Coalition for Health Equity, and, not later than April 24, issue revised guidance on Crisis Standards of Care for the COVID-19 pandemic that consider the social determinants of health and documented racial and ethnic health disparities in comorbidities such as, but not limited, to heart disease, diabetes, and asthma.
