Providing for Early Voting Parity

Ms. Chandler, Messrs. Feeney and Eldridge, Ms. Chang-Diaz, Messrs. Montigny, Boncore and Lesser, Ms. Comerford, Messrs. Hinds and Timilty move that the proposed new text be amended in section 7(b)(1) by striking out, in line 147, “Saturday, August 22, 2020” and inserting in place thereof the following:- “Saturday, August 15, 2020”; and

in section 7(c)(1) by inserting, in line 155, after the words “Early voting in person for the primary election shall be conducted on” the following:- “Saturday, August 15, 2020, Sunday, August 16, 2020 and”; and

in section 7(d)(2) by striking out, in line 189, “August 7, 2020” and inserting in place thereof the following:- “August 1, 2020”; and

in section 7(d)(2) by striking out, in line 189, “August 14, 2020” and inserting in place thereof the following:- “August 7, 2020”.
