Mr. Hinds, Ms. Rausch, Messrs. Feeney, Eldridge and Lesser, Ms. Comerford, Ms. Jehlen, Mr. Cyr and Ms. Moran move that the proposed new text be amended in section 6, in paragraph (1) of subsection (g), by adding the following sentence:- “The state secretary shall seek to have included on the outer envelope with postage guaranteed required by this section a system which generates a postmark for determining the date upon which the envelope was mailed and if such a postmark system cannot be implemented the secretary shall inform the clerks of the senate and house of representatives of efforts undertaken and impediments to developing such a system.”.
