Opioid Epidemic Response Amendment

Mr. Velis moved that the proposed new text be amended in section 2, in item 1599-1233, by adding the following words:- “; provided further, that not less than $100,000 shall be expended to Baystate Noble Hospital Corporation for a grant program to prevent and treat the increase of addiction to opioids and related substances during the 2019 novel coronavirus; provided further, that not less than $50,000 shall be expended to the police department in the town of Agawam for services needed due to the opioid epidemic"; and

by striking out the figure “$100,000” and inserting in place thereof the following figure:- “$250,000”.
