Amendment #7 to H3862

Economic Assistance for Agricultural Fairs

Mr. Hill of Ipswich moves to amend the bill by inserting after section 2 the following line item:

"SECTION 2. Line item 2511-0102 the language: to provide financial assistance to agricultural fairs, including 4H youth fairs which have been impacted by COVID-19 and related restrictions. The Department shall distribute the funding equitably among impacted agricultural fairs with input from an advisory committee consisting of representatives of the Massachusetts Agricultural Fairs Association, the 4H Foundation, and the Massachusetts Office of Tourism. This item shall be funded through the American Recovery Plan for the purpose of negating economic impacts.  ---$10,000,000.”
